A New Photo Marks the Waleses' Twelfth Anniversary & A Kate Favourite Back in Stock

Hello, dear readers! Yesterday we discussed the possibility of a new portrait to mark the Prince and Princess of Wales' twelfth anniversary and today we got just that. To celebrate the happy occasion, the couple released a new photo from a set taken last summer in Norfolk by the talented Matt Porteous.

A family-of-five portrait was chosen for the Waleses' Christmas card. William, Kate and the children were depicted enjoying a summery stroll in shades of blue and white.

Last month, two additional images were shared to mark Mother's Day.

This one of Kate and Louis quickly became a fan favourite :)

The Princess wore her M.I.H. Jeans Mabel shirt with blue jeans. The broderie anglaise piece features scallop trim on the neck and puffed sleeves. The delicate floral detail is a striking element in the piece.

Kate sported her Superga Cotu sneakers.

With spring/summer firmly upon us, we have news to share on the restock of a pair of Kate's favourite sunglasses -- the FINLAY Henrietta Light Tortoise Sunglasses with Green Lenses.

The sophisticated pair feature squared corners and a cat-eye silhouette. Handmade in Italy using the world's finest Mazzucchelli acetate and fitted with Zeiss lenses for full UVA/UVB protection, each pair comes with an elegant folding hard case and microfibre cleaning cloth (polarised lenses and engraving services are available).

They are available for £150/$225 on the FINLAY website.

  2. The picture chosen is beautiful. Very natural. They are a lovely couple and great asset to the Crown. I would also like to wish them a happy anniversary and many more to come. I was interested to read last night that the Prince will be recording a documentary with ITV. Showing the work that goes on behind the scenes as he launches a new homeless charity across the United Kingdom. I think it's a very good idea and wish him every success with it. S.🙂

I really like these sunglasses. I purchased them last summer and they are very thick and sturdy. In other words, the price is worth what you get.

  5. I love this photo - I noticed she has a bag with her. I wonder if this was the beginning or the end of their family shoot. I think they took the photos at Anmer Hall so maybe they all rode their bikes to the photo spot? I also love that their caption was simple with a heart - it seemed much for more personable.

  9. A question for royal watchers, historians, or British royalists: Should we expect that all royal ladies will wear white to the coronation, Kate included? In 1937 and 1953, all royal family members appeared to have worn white gowns. Is this a tradition that we should expect, is this not a tradition, or do you think that this coronation will be less formal, and while white gowns were the norm, they will wear non-white dresses? Thanks in advance!

    1. I don't think we will know the answer to your question till Saturday. From what I am reading and what is being reported, a lot of changes have been made. Hopefully not too many. S.🙂.

  11. Perfectly efficient and business-like to spend a day doing a year’s worth of family snaps to be released as needed. I hope they got some fun time too. That blouse is so pretty and those sunglasses are great.
