A Ski Break for the Cambridges, Exclusive Discount from BLACK.co.uk & a Scarf for Ukraine

 Hello dear readers,

All has been quiet on the Cambridge front since the Service of Thanksgiving for the Duke of Edinburgh (click here to watch the service on YouTube where I know several mentioned they hoped it would be uploaded). George, Charlotte and Louis have been on Easter break from Thomas's Battersea and nursery, due to return when term commences next Wednesday. How did the family spend the break? Rumours have been circulating online they enjoyed a ski break in Courchevel in France.

Hello! reports:

'According to various Twitter and Instagram users, the royals were spotted on the slopes and enjoying meals at restaurants in the luxury French resort.

One royal watcher also claimed that William and Kate were joined by the Duchess' sister Pippa Middleton.'

Skiing holidays have been a staple on the Cambridges' calendar since the early years of their relationship. You will remember the very sweet images released after a 2016 trip to the French Alps with George and Charlotte. Will we see photos from this trip? There's no official word, though a family portrait would be a great option for this year's Christmas card. We know the Cambridges manage to holiday relatively under the radar. Last year they enjoyed a trip to Jordan, and there were reported sightings of a European getaway over the summer.

As of publishing, there are no new engagements announced for the Duchess. I expect that to change in the coming days, especially with school term resuming next week. I do think there's a strong possibility we'll see the Cambridges for Easter service at Windsor on Sunday. It will mark the first gathering of royals since the pandemic. Whilst it's been confirmed the Queen will not be in attendance, I expect we'll see a large turnout. Below, the Duchess on Easter Sunday 2019.

The talented team at luxury accessories British brand Black.co.uk are once again offering readers 30% off orders until Monday. 20% is automatically discounted and an additional 10% will be taken off your purchase with discount code HRH10.

I was chatting to brand director Toby Logue and he shared the team's determination to use their business to offer support amid the ongoing devastation in Ukraine. We've all been moved and deeply saddened by the horrific onslaught and terror waged on the country. The only bright light in the darkness has been a global sense of community forming to help in any and every way possible. Toby came together with his talented mum Paula Reeves (who models the piece) and Charles Knowles Design to design a scarf featuring the Sunflower symbolising the "positive, optimistic and loyal spirit" with the blue of the Ukraine flag.

The Ukraine Relief Appeal Scarf is made in Kashmir. It's 85% wool, 15% silk.

They have partnered with the British Red Cross and produced 200 of the scarves which will raise £20,000 towards their appeal. The scarves are £100 each. It is a totally not for profit effort with production costs met by directors and friends of the brand. Already, 67 of the scarves are sold. To purchase one please click here. The Just Giving page is here.

A Red Cross volunteer with the Polish Red Cross at Korczowa, close to the Ukrainian border, shared an incredible story of helping a family separated by the war reunite.

The response of the Red Cross in Ukraine -- thus far, they have helped 300,000 people on the ground.

The courage and resilience of volunteers has been inspiring to see. The scale of this conflict and the horrifying impact on families must be utterly heartbreaking to witness. The Red Cross are there every step of the way, not only offering practical support but hope and a hug when it it is needed more than ever.

The team at BLACK have been busy assembling another timeless and stylish collection for Spring/Summer.

From the new season Trilogy collection of scarves, 'The Orchid', feature striking floral prints. The Red Tulip design shown above is a gorgeous accessory for Spring/Summer. The Blue Orchid in "tones of sapphire and aquamarine on a black background is crafted from a perfect blend of cashmere and silk. It is soft, warm, light and generously sized. Blue orchids are said to symbolise beauty, rarity and spirituality". The cashmere and silk scarves are exclusively designed by the team at BLACK.

Take a closer look at the print of the Yellow Orchid Trilogy Scarf -- in rich tones of saffron, paprika and amber.

The Faded Rose Gossamer Cashmere Shawl is spun from high quality Mongolian cashmere. Described as: "Ultra soft with a whisper light feel it is ideal for cool summer evenings as a wrap and for colder days tied as a generous scarf. Short eyelash fringing gives it a chic finish."

Adding an elegant touch of sparkle, the Black Cotton and Crystal Poncho and the White Cotton and Silver Lurex Poncho. Made in Italy, from 100% cotton the black piece is adorned with white crystals and white with silver lurex.

Speaking of stylish ponchos, the Baltic Blue and Dove Grey Knitted Ponchos come in 100% cashmere.

The Tropical Leaves Silk and Cotton Neck Scarf has a tropical feel.

Ahead of summer, linen ponchos are available for pre-order. They are perfect for wearing over beachwear or with a pair of jeans for a causal look on warmer evenings.

The White Cotton Blend cardigan is another ideal item for your holiday wardrobe. It drapes beautifully and features side vents and a longish length.
